Patty Nyitrai has spent over 33 years caring for seniors, but ask her why she does this work, and the answer isn't found on a resume. It's found in her own family's story.

Patty's connection to this work began long before her career did. As a young girl, she watched her grandmother battle Alzheimer's disease, including the agitation and aggressive behaviors that so often come with it, and she felt firsthand how deeply that toll reached into every corner of her family. That early experience left a lasting mark, one that would quietly shape the course of her life's work.

Decades later, when Patty lost her father, she found herself doing what so many of her clients now face: searching for the right assisted living community for her grieving mother. Later, she walked that same difficult road again, helping her mother-in-law find her way into memory care. She knows the sleepless nights, the guilt, the second-guessing, and the relief of finally finding a place that feels like home—because she has lived it herself, more than once, since childhood.

That personal experience is what pushed Patty to make a bold change four years ago. She walked away from a stable position in assisted living sales because representing just one community never felt like enough. She wanted the freedom to sit with a family and recommend whatever was truly right for their loved one—not whatever filled a sales quota. So she founded Senior Placements by Patty, a senior care consulting agency serving Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City, built on a simple promise: unbiased guidance, offered with complete integrity.

Patty holds a degree in Psychology and is a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner, but she'll tell you her most important credential is empathy. Every family she meets is met with the same kindness, patience, and honesty she wished for during her own family's transitions. And because she believes no one should have to choose the right care based on what they can afford to pay her, every service she offers is completely free to the families she serves.

As a small, woman-owned business, Patty answers to no corporate office—only to the families who trust her with one of life's hardest decisions. That independence means every recommendation she makes is about one thing: finding the right fit for your loved one.

Patty has called Harford County home for more than 22 years, the same community where she and her husband of 35 years, Steve, raised their two children. Today, she's a proud grandmother to twin grandsons, and as empty nesters, she and Steve treasure quiet time together at their lake home in the Poconos.
